A Bold First Step – From Boardrooms to Baking
Her first stop? A cupcake shop.

Run with her best friend, the cupcake shop was a bold—though not entirely unexpectedpivot into delicious creativity and independence. But what started as a business quickly became something deeper.
A journey of rediscovering self-expression, confidence, and what it truly means to feel comfortable in your own skin
Meet Kathryn – Founder of Lab & Co
A Life of Rules & Expectations
For 20 years, Kathryn followed the corporate rules structured, professional, and always fitting into the expectations of others. But somewhere between the endless meetings (that often could have been an email) and the neatly pressed corporate wardrobe, she realized something was missing. Herself.
So, She walked away

The Birth of Lab & Co
That path led to Lab & Co, a space built for creators, by a creator.

More than just a photography studio, Lab & Co is a place where photographers and content creators are encouraged to explore intimate, raw, and alternative aesthetics in a safe, judgment-free environment.
For Kathryn, Lab & Co is deeply personal. Like many women, she spent years struggling with self-image, societal expectations, and the pressure to fit into someone else’s version of success. But through creative expression and surrounding herself with people unafraid to take up space, she found a new kind of freedom
A Space for Self-Acceptance & Confidence
Now, she’s built a space where others can do the same.

Whether you’re stepping in front of the camera for the first time, capturing something bold and boundary-pushing, or just exploring what confidence looks like for you, Lab & Co is here to hold that space.
Because self-acceptance isn’t just about loving the skin you’re in—it’s about owning it, celebrating it, and never apologizing for it.
